We're looking for our first HR hire—someone who doesn't just want to "post jobs and screen resumes," but who wants to build our entire talent acquisition engine from scratch.
This is not a traditional HR internship. You'll be working directly with the founders, creating strategies, experimenting with unconventional ideas, and taking full ownership of how we find and attract incredible people to join our mission.

Key Responsibilities
Build organic recruitment strategies
Source and reach out to qualified candidates
Post job openings on 10+ platforms (job boards, Reddit, Discord servers, niche communities, newsletter partnerships—wherever talent hangs out)
Screen applications and conduct initial phone conversations to assess candidate fit
Experiment relentlessly—try new sourcing channels, test different messaging approaches, track what works, iterate fast
Design and execute onboarding experiences for new hires that make them feel welcomed and set up for success
Build foundational HR processes as we grow—offer letters, documentation, employee records
Support culture-building initiatives and help shape how we work together as a team
Qualifications
Exceptional written communication—you can craft personalized, engaging messages that make people want to respond
Strong verbal communication—comfortable making phone calls, conducting initial screens, and building rapport quickly
Persuasion skills—you know how to get people excited about opportunities and can articulate why someone should join a startup
High initiative—you don't wait to be told what to do; you see gaps, identify problems, and solve them independently
Comfortable with ambiguity—there are no playbooks here; you'll need to figure things out, experiment, and iterate
Ownership mindset—you treat this role like it's your own company; you care deeply about outcomes, not just tasks
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Detail-oriented—you maintain organized systems, follow up consistently, and don't let things slip through cracks
Comfortable with tools—you can quickly learn and use tools like Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets, LinkedIn, and various platforms
Active on social media—you understand how LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, Discord, and other platforms work
Creative problem-solver—when traditional approaches don't work, you think outside the box and try unconventional tactics
Understanding of startup culture—you get why people join early-stage companies and can articulate that vision to candidates
High energy—you bring enthusiasm and urgency to your work every day
Bias toward action—you'd rather try something and learn than overthink and wait for perfect conditions
Previous experience in recruitment, HR, talent acquisition, or sourcing (internships, freelance, campus roles—anything counts!)
Experience with cold outreach or sales (shows you're comfortable reaching out to strangers)
Active presence on LinkedIn or Twitter—you understand personal branding and content creation
Experience using CRMs, applicant tracking systems, or database tools
Understanding of the tech/startup ecosystem in India
Previous startup or fast-paced environment experience
Content creation skills (writing, video, design) that could be applied to recruitment marketing
Connections in tech communities, student groups, or professional networks
